My mother said I came out so fast at birth I was born in the hospital corridor and almost slipped off the trolley bed. I've lived my life with the same enthusiasm ever since, hurrying toward each opportunity to live life to the fullest. Haling from Christchurch, I moved to the big smoke of Auckland at age 18 to seek my fame and fortune. I completed a three year degree in acting, known as a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts and landed a lead role in an alternative film called 'Hidden', filmed in forests and freezing waterfalls in and around the Auckland region.
Since then I have played two small roles in 'Shortland Street' (Michelle Gibson and Daria Cruikshank) and a major role in 'Play 2' (Karina) which was a mainly sold out play by 'Auckland Theatre Company 2nd Unit', as well as a few tv commercials. All of these were fantastic opportunities for me to have fun and learn some new skills. An important part of my life was travelling around our amazing world by myself in my early 20s, with highlights including immersing myself in the culture and architecture of Russia, and squatting with homeless people in an abandoned convent in Italy! And now I'm lucky enough to present a request hour on Juice TV. I'm very passionate about music as I believe it is something magical, in the way it leaves an impression on our souls. Okay, so I'm a bit of a hippie at times!
I hope and believe that the years ahead will bring more opportunities and fun experiences that I can tell my grandkids about.
