Hi,
I am going to get the vaccine even though it will cost me because I am outside of the free age bracket. It is important to me because my grandmother died of cervical cancer when my mother was just 6 years old. Seeing how this has affected my mother is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. If i have children one day it will be a great comfort to me that i have at least taken a step towards preventing some cervical cancers. What an amazing world we live in where 70% of cervical cancers can be prevented!!
And don't be afraid or embarrassed to talk to your family or friends about having the vaccine because its your health and your future so trust that they will care too! But if they don't care then find someone who will, your teacher, doctor anyone who you trust.
Great website by the way!

Hello
yes I am a bloke...... I lost my sister to cervical cancer at the age of 54, only 2 months ago. I was with her every day for the last three weeks of her life, it's still really cuts me up, however my message is get checked out, don't leave it for another time.. it might be too late because the last stage of this awful disease is tragic. good luck with your website.
Hi Everyone,
My name is Jenni and I work in the communications department of the Counties Manukau District Health Board.
If someone had said to me two years ago when I was finishing university I’d be able to make a difference in the world, I wouldn’t have believed them. But here I am working on a campaign that will help ensure my friends and family are protected against one of the scariest forms of cancer.
It’s estimated that 30 lives will be saved every year by this programme, that could be your sister or your best friend. Encourage everyone all your girlfriends go and get this vaccination, even if you are outside the ages where it is free – you can still have it!
The cost is a small price to pay for piece of mind.
Do it for the Girls!
